Evaluation
On behalf of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Regional Office for Central America, and the Caribbean in Panama (UNODC ROPAN), the CTU is pleased to support the UNODC Project “Tackling Cybercrime: strengthening legislation, Law Enforcement and International Cooperation” funded by the United Kingdom (UK) and implemented under the UNODC Global Programme on Cybercrime.
The objective of the project is to strategically support UN Member States in Latin America and the Caribbean in building collective resilience to ransomware, strengthening the interoperability of cybersecurity and cybercrime structures, and promoting international cooperation to ensure an open, free and safe cyberspace, enhancing national, regional and international security.
In this context, UNODC, in coordination with the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU), requests your kind assistance in designating a participant from your organisation for the “Regional training on ransomware for first responders and investigators of the Caribbean,” which will take place on March 25th – 26th 2025, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Participant Selection Criteria:
From the EoIs submitted, on a first-come, first-served basis, UNODC will select a maximum of two (2) participants from each CTU Member State, specifically from the Ministries of ICT, National Security and/or CARICOM IMPACS, who meet the following profile:
- one (1) Cyber Security Agency Incident Response Team (CSIRT) member and
