Appointed on 1st March 2021, CTU Secretary-General (SG) Rodney Taylor was appointed for another four-year term, commencing 1st March 2025. The unanimous decision was made during a meeting of the 30th General Conference (GC) of Ministers meeting which took place on Wednesday 2nd October 2024, during CTU ICT Week 2024 – St. Kitts and Nevis.
The GC, comprising Ministers responsible for ICT and telecommunications from its 20 Member States, meets annually to strategize on and direct the priorities of the CTU for the next year and into the future.
Under Mr. Taylor’s leadership, the GC indicated that the CTU has made significant strides in harmonising ICT policies across the region and strengthening partnerships with regional and global ICT entities. His reappointment reflects the Ministers’ satisfaction with his accomplishments and confidence in his ability to continue driving the region’s ICT agenda forward.
The CTU is an inter-governmental organisation dedicated to supporting the development of the Caribbean information and communications technologies (ICT) sector. It remains committed to working with its Member States and partners to accelerate digital transformation in the Caribbean.
