9TH TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO INTERNET GOVERNANCE FORUM – CTU Session: Accelerating the involvement of Caribbean ccTLDs within the global ccTLD community

January 31, 2025
Venue:

Acknowledging the rich diversity across our global and regional communities, we aim to approach our discussions with a sensitivity to the varied socio-economic, cultural, and legal environments that influence the operation of ccTLDs. This diversity is not only a strength but also a reminder of the unique challenges and opportunities present in managing ccTLDs in different regions.

ccTLDs play a critical role in shaping the internet landscape, both as complements to and independent of dominant TLDs such as .com and .net. Understanding their value and challenges is vital for their sustainable development and the broader DNS ecosystem.
