On Sunday 28^th April 2024, the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU) will commemorate its thirty-fifth anniversary. To celebrate this landmark occasion, a four-day series of events is proposed under the theme “Digital Waves: Navigating the Future of Caribbean Connectivity.” This theme captures the essence of the CTU’s journey, celebrating its past accomplishments while looking forward to the exciting use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) in the region in the future. The term “waves” is multifaceted, symbolising the spectrum (radio waves) that is fundamental to telecommunications, the beautiful Caribbean islands (lapped by Caribbean waves) that we are part of, the waves of technological change that challenge us and the significant progress (making waves) we have achieved to get to a fully digital Caribbean landscape. 

The objective of the Open House is to extend an invitation to our many stakeholders, encouraging them to visit the headquarters of the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU) and directly engage with the CTU Secretariat team as well as a variety of exhibitors. This event is envisioned as a technology-immersive and informative experience, designed to showcase the crucial role that ICT and, as a result, the CTU play in the region’s ICT landscape. 

Activities: The following activities will take place during the Open House:

1.           Mini Technology Career Fair display 

·     The “Did You Know” series.

·     Technology quizzes on old vs new technology

2.           Technology Games 

3.           Media Tour 

4.           Mini-seminars or “TED talks” on technology 

5.           Interactive sessions showcasing cutting-edge technology, offering live demonstrations and interactive experiences
